Here you can configure application settings:

Your task is to click on that clock (stimulus) as quickly as possible when you notice it. Do not click on stimuli when there is no target signal.

You have approximately 3 seconds to react after skipping the clock (stimulus).

At the bottom of the screen, the time remaining until the end of the task will be displayed.

As the demo mode is on, the screen will change the background color to red just before each target signal (stimulus) appears. After the target signal appears, the background color will be green until the maximum allowed reaction time has elapsed. For real research, turn off demo mode and increase the duration of the task.

Number of clocks (stimuli) on the screen:

Type of stimuli: Clocks showing different times will be displayed on the screen.

Synchronization of stimuli: The stimuli will be time synchronized. Approximately in 50% of cases, 2 target stimuli will be displayed on the screen at the same time. In the other 50% of cases, only one target stimulus will be displayed.

If you turn off time synchronization (No): At the end of the task, it will not be possible to display statistics separately for parallel and non-parallel target stimuli.

Target stimulus. Number of skips in seconds:

Allowed values: [-5..5]. Enter a positive value for skipping in a clockwise direction. Enter negative values for skips counterclockwise.

Number of cycles in which the answer is accepted as valid: Maximum reaction time. 1 cycle = approximately 1 second. The reference time is the time shown by the hands of the clock (and it is always late for real time depending on the delay of your web browser for real time).

Warning: 1 cycle = approximately 1 second. There may be a significant lag in the drawing of stimuli compared to real time. Therefore, it is possible that in the last cycle (second) the application evaluates the response as invalid even though the green color (target stimulus) was still present on the screen. Therefore, we advise you to add a minimum of one cycle (second) more.

Probability of the target signal:Several target stimuli within each minute. Always available.

Note: If you want lower (all) probabilities to be available for selection, you must select a sufficiently large task duration in minutes

Background color during task:

Before real research, we advise the user to first work for a while in the demo mode of the program for training. In this way, you can optimally adjust the task settings.

Demo mode:As the demo mode is on, the screen will change the background color to red just before each target signal (stimulus) appears. After the target signal appears, the background color will be green until the maximum allowed reaction time has elapsed.

The answer is accepted as valid while the background color is green. The answer is invalid if the user clicks before the target signal appears (red background). Read the warning above.

Your browser probably doesn't have support for the Web Storage Object or access to the Storage Object is disabled. Check your browser settings. In some browsers (example: IE11) Storage Object is not enabled when accessed in a local file (offline).
