CTClock taskRun this application onlineVigilance, also termed sustained concentration, is defined as the ability to maintain concentrated attention over prolonged periods of time. Vigilance is often tested experimentally with different variants of clock tasks. The Mackworth Clock is an experimental device used in the field of experimental psychology to study the effects of long term vigilance on the detection of signals. This application is one of the many variants of clock tasks intended to explore the process of vigilance. A limited number of settings can be changed within the application. It is possible to activate the option to save the results in a web browser. Language interface: Simple English Software requirements: Any web browser with ECMAScript 2015 (ES6) support. See browser list: here. The application has been tested on the following web browsers: Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Internet Explorer 11, Opera. We mainly develop all our web applications in the Firefox browser. Therefore, generally speaking, the latest version of Firefox is always the most secure solution for reliable use of our web applications. Licence: GNU Lesser General Public License Suggested link to our application: Attention1 Suggested search terms: vigilance, attention, inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, ADHD, neurotrauma, Mackworth Clock, Clock task. Version: 2.0 Notes: The real time of this task will almost always be greater than the time entered in the options (Task time in minutes) depending on your operating system and/or web browser and the selected settings. Be careful if the Task time in minutes is high. Some operating systems and/or web browsers (eg Chrome, Edge) can automatically turn on the "locked" state if the user is inactive for a long period of time. The occasional mouse click most often solves this problem. Test your web browser before conducting real research. Do not minimize the web browser while running this application. |
